2017 Pre-Festival Cooking Schedule:


No Experience Necessary!  Great Fellowship & Learning Experience!


Where: St. George Orthodox Church: 704 W. Sam Houston Ave; Pharr, TX  

When: Begin: 9 AM – Hope to End: 4 – 5 PM

Schedule: If you can’t come in the morning, come help in the afternoon. We always need fresh hands and faces!

Lunch: Bring Something to Share for Lunch

11/27 – 10 AM Friday/Thanksgiving Weekend – Baking Cookies, etc.

11/28 – 10 AM Saturday/Thanksgiving Weekend – Baking Cookies, etc.

11/28 – 9 AM Saturday - Work Day on Preparing Church Grounds & Decorating Church for Christmas


12/5 - Final Cooking & Preparations, or Ukrainian Food, If Needed

12/10 – Thursday – 7:00 PM – Initial Indoor Clean Up & Set Up

12/11 – Friday Morning/Afternoon: Set Up Tents & Final Preparations

12/11 – Friday Evening – 6:00 PM - Skewer & Marinate Souvlaki Meat


12/12 – Saturday - International Festival Day

 6 – 8:45 AM – Volunteer Food Prep, Final Set Up & Preparations

 8:45 AM – Blessing of Festival Event & Site

 9:00 AM – Festival Opening

 9:00 AM – Noon – Morning Shift of Volunteers

 Noon – 4 PM – Afternoon Shift of Volunteers

 4:00 PM – Clean Up – Volunteers Needed!!!


12/13 – Sunday – Leftover Food Sales after Church
